Earl Pelletier was born into a racing family! It started with his father, Earl Sr. who raced at Plainville Speedway from 1972 until 1975.  Since then Earl always had a love for racing, which jump started his career at the age of 13, racing Go-Karts in Prospect (CT) at a local track.  At the age of 20, he decided to move up into the Strictly Stock division at Riverside Race Park in Agawam, MA.  Circle track racing has always been a love of Earl's but he wanted to try something different at the age of 22, something out of the ordinary.  He decided to build a 79' Malibu for Drag/Street type racing and head out to Lebanon Valley, Englishtown (NJ), and Maple Grove (PA) for about 5 years to try and further his racing career. After a well deserved break from the racing scene, Earl got back into some low-key Karting when time permitted and the Pelletier family established, which was from 1994 -1998.  The first race was in Woodstock (CT) in Sept of 1994 ( remembering, he hit the hay bails and had hay sticking out of his kart for the rest of the race)..... He then ventured out to Poughkeepsie (NY) in 1995 for pretty much the whole year...A local track in Shelton (CT) saw Earl finish 2nd in the Lites division in 1996 with out even completing the whole season, AMAZING!!!! Earl moved on to run Regionals in 97 & 98 in Old Orchard Beach (ME) , West Hampton (Long Island), Pomfret (CT), Sugar Hill, and Woodstock (CT)

..Earl then decided that he was going to attend Bouchards Driving School to sharpen up his driving skills and prepare for his future racing career.  Earl started to put together the #72 SK Light (at the time) in the early part of 2008 to race a part-time schedule at Stafford Motor Speedway for the 08' season.  As some of you may know, Earl Sr. was the #27 back in his racing days, at the time of Number registration, the #27 wasn't available but the team thought what better way to remember Earl's father by reversing the number order.  Well a few short weeks later, with a little help from a close friend, Earl was given the opportunity to take over the #27!  Two weeks after the switch, Earl and the "NEW" #27 found themselves in victory lane with a little help from above! With one win under his belt already, Earl has set the bar high and plans on visiting the winners circle again before the year is up! (Please check the Update/News page to hear all about Earl's latest win!)
